Kiambu Scrapbook - A famous Kiambu car of this type [box body] and still going strong is the T. Model Ford B7320, which was bought by Mr J.S. Hall, one of the earliest Kiambu settlers, in 1926. He later sold it to Mr W.L.H. Moss, another pre 1914 farmer in this district, who travelled to Nairobi in it once a month; he never used it for any other purpose and had to re-charge the batteries every time he took it out. On his death in 1955 it was bought by Mr N.R. Solly and has appeared from time to time in the vintage car rallies currently held in Nairobi.
Kiambu Scrapbook - A somewhat eccentric early planter was Mr W.L.H. ("Ikey") Moss, a retired school master from Charterhouse, who bought a part of Lady Delamere's original farm which he called Kidogo, from Alan's cousin Ronald Tompson who then owned it under the name of Kiltannon. Mr Moss lived on Kidogo until his death in 1955 at the age of eighty-six, only leaving it to join up in the first World War.
