Pioneers - The Watkins of Wispers Farm - Veronica Hughes - …… The bricks and tiles were all made locally by the brickworks next door, which was started about 1914 by Tom Young and his wife, a charming Kentish couple of the old variety.
Olga - 1925 - only a mile from 'Wispers' was a brick works owned by a Cockney, Tom Young. He and his wife had at once befriended the entire [Watkins] family and supplied her orders ahead of any one else's
