Web - Even during the Great Trek one group of trekkers wore braces and sang hymns, where as the 'doppers' (A.H. Potgieter was a dopper) would wear a girdle to keep up their trousers, they also wore straw hats and they would only sing psalms. The doppers were fundamentalist.
