Alan Fletcher - My grandfather. He was employed on the construction of the Kenya Uganda railway and died of Yellow Fever during employment. His name was Archibald Fletcher, a Scottish bridge engineer who left his family in Australia and travelled to Kenya to assist in the railway bridge building. As far as I can establish he travelled to Kenya about 1896/97, returned to Australia a number of times to see his family, and died in Kenya in about 1903.
