General Information:
Jenny Gormley (dau): After marrying Anne Pardoe he managed his father’s property at Hippo Point, Naivasha, building a wing onto the house to live in. Later he bought undeveloped land on the South Kinangop and started a mixed farm, including cattle, sheep, pigs, market vegetables and pyrethrum. They built a farm house that was burnt down during the Mau Mau rebellion in 1954. British troops rebuilt the house and the family lived there until 1963, when the farm was nationalised and the family emigrated to Muden, South Africa.
