East Africa & Rhodesia - 7/2/52 - Father Anthony Van Aken who died recently at Tabora at the age of 76, had served the White Fathers Mission in Tanganyika since 1901, when he marched from Bagamoyo to Tabora. The first pupils in the mission school were then children bought from slavery. Father Van Aken was the author of a number of books in Swahili.
