Gazette 29/5/1918 - Obituary - His Excellency the Acting Governor deeply regrets to announce the death of Dr. R.W. Spence, Medical Officer on the 19/5/1918 after an illness extending over 10 weeks. Dr Spence joined the Protectorate service in August 1913 and was stationed throughout at Nakuru where he was generally liked and trusted. He was a very capable and energetic officer and his death will be much regretted.
