Gazette - 15/10/1901 - Notes - It is understood that Baron Bronsart von Sheblendorff has been very successful in capturing and training Zebras in the vicinity of Kilimanjaro. These animals, it appears, are strong in chest, powerful of muscle, and their immunity from tsetse fly will doubtless render them a valuable acquisition in the labour market of this country especially and possibly in that of others. It transpires from the Baron's experiments that he finds himself able to tame and break in Zebra within a period of 9 months at a price of from Rs 200 to Rs 600 according to the points of the animal and degree of training required by the purchaser.
