Foster - CMS Lay Missionary educationalist at Kahuhia. He first came to Kenya in 1932. Later he married Miss Ethel May (Mamie) Anderson from Scotland. They had first met at a Bible College in Glasgow. Cantrell retired from Kenya in 1950 but returned for 3 months in 1953 to "help out" during the Mau Mau Emergency because he was a fluent Kikuyu speaker. The PC Central Province wrote to CMS to say what a great help Cantrell's visit had been to increase understanding between the Church and the Government in the Fort Hall district.
