Born December 16, 1910 in Rumuriti Kenya, East Africa he was the son of missionaries John and Florence Stauffacher. He was a graduate of John Brown University in Siloam Springs and later Columbia Bible School. He spent his life as a missionary in Africa along with his wife and family. His anchor supporting congregation was the Waugh Drive Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Taylor Stauffacher and by his parents and a brother, Raymond Stauffacher. He is survived by a daughter & son-in-law, Faith and David Hoult, Russellville; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Bill and Karen Stauffacher, Fayetteville, Richard and Martha Stauffacher, Fayetteville; Eight grandchildren, John Henry & Matthew Stauffacher, Fayetteville, Issac Cammann & Adam Whenlan, Fayetteville, Brandon, Phillip, Nathan & Richard Hoult, all of Russellville. Funeral will be at Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at Africa Inland Retirement Center. Mr. David Houltand Mr. Bob Richars will officiate. Burial will be at Minneola Cemetery in Minneola, Florida at Minneola, FL by Becker Funeral Home in Clermont, Florida. His son-in-law said of him, "Claudon did not wish to be referred to as a great man because of his work, but rather as a man who talked about a great God."
