Seconded from Beds. & Herts. Regt. in 1930 to Kenya and Nyasaland - 2 tours 1930-33 and 1933-36.
1950 - Donovan Maule production "This was a Woman" with Basil Hurle-Hobbs, Jean Parnell, Vivian Pickles, Mollie Maule, Michael Partridge (later BBC Newscaster as Michael de Morgan).
1953 - Peter as General manager of Donovan Maule Theatre after leaving the Army. Took a production up to a School in Turi run by the Lavers. The Donovan Maule Theatre was in difficulties during Mau Mau times due to dwindling audiences, so Peter left them and did a conjuring tour at Kenya Coast, Uganda, Tanganyika and the Rhodesias - 'Magic on Safari', which included ventriloquism.   
He was an actor, known for Softly Softly (1966), Mad Dog Morgan (1976) and The Six Wives of Henry VIII (1970).
