North - Appt. farrier Sgt. UP Aug 1898; arr. Mombasa Oct 1898; Arrested after he shot three dogs and threatened people with a gun while drunk, Nairobi 27-8-1899; sentenced to two months' imprisonment with hard labour or a fine of 200 rupees by Capt. C.H. Lewis and to be sent back to England, due to depart Mombasa 26-9-1899. 

North has a Sgt. W. Barlow, appointed Farrier Sgt. UP in 1898 who arrived Mombasa Oct. 1898
