Web - In 1927 he married Eva, daughter of Sir Kenneth Kemp and 10 years later they settled on the shores of Lake Naivasha, where he did much sailing and boating. An active member of the Naivasha Yacht Club, he gave much time during the war to entertaining convalescent service men who spent happy days on the lake and its shores with him. A keen freemason he achieved high rank in his craft.
