Over my Shoulder - He was an erudite character, utterly fearless in wordy battles, a strong compulsive writer, with a fine turn of phrase, a ready wit and the declared champion of the settler cause! Weekly his voice thundered a clarion call to Kenya - and his passing in 1956 was mourned by all, even his most bitter adversaries. He was a product of the Royal Navy.
