Bruce Rooken-Smith (KR records):I note a John Milward Crombie [KR35] who according to his records was discharged on 18/08/1938 at his own request because he was leaving the country.
He was a prisoner of war in Singapore 15 Feb 1942 (Japanese index cards)
Commonwealth war grave - Buried in Kanchanaburi cemetery, Thailand. He had joined the Straits Settlement Volunteer Force before capture by the Japanese.
