Gazette 6 Dec 1938 Uasin Gishu Voters Roll
Gazette 2 July 1970 probate
Nick Klapprott writes: Hermann bought farm 707 at Kipkabus in 1927 and named it “Koi- legai”. In later years after the dissolution of “Klapprott Bros.”, as the business was known, following the untimely death of Betty [his sister], “Koi-legai” became the family farm, with the dairy enterprise at Marievale being brought to an end. There is a family cemetery at “Koi-legai” where Wilhelm (Hermann's father), his wife Marie Malcy, Betty and Louis Folkard {his mother's child from her first marriage] are buried.
Hermann died on 5 November 1970, and is also buried there. The ashes of Edith, Hermann’s wife, who died in Greytown, South Africa on 23 January 1993, are interred in Hermann’s grave. “Koi-legai” was finally sold in July 1975, finally bringing to an end a long family era.
