General Information:
Foster - After War service in the East African Mounted Rifles, from which he was later seconded to the Army Livestock Purchase Unit in the Supplies Branch, Lennox applied for, and obtained, a soldier settler farm in the Timau area (Farm 909) "Marania". During the war, Lennox Murray had ranged far and wide, including what was then the Belgian Congo in search of cattle for feeding the troops. He was awarded an O.B.E. for his work. Lennox appears to have started farming on "Marania" in 1921, but to have returned to England for good in 1925
