Macmillan - 1930 - Eadie's Footwear Ltd., - The business was started in 1922 by Mr C.G. Eadie, who had been previously a partner in one of the local firms. Mr Eadie is a member of the family owning the well-known business of Gilbert Eadie and Sons, established at Builth Wells since 1873, and with barnches throughout Wales. In 1923 Eadie's Footwear Ltd., was formed, with Mr Eadie as Managing Director, and there are branches of the concern at Nakuru and Eldoret and agencies at Mombasa and Kitale.
