Arthur “John" Henage Finch left Kenya about 1936 and joined the RAF and became a Flt Lieutenant flying Beaufort torpedo bombers in Sqn 217 Coastal Command.He died with 3 flight crew during the Channel Dash 12 Feb 1942.
Daughter Beryl developed polio when about 7 and spent a decade in England receiving treatment, eventually living on the Isle of Wight. She married John Bailey late in life and after his death in the early 70s she emigrated to BC and lived with her brother Guy and sister-in-law in Qualicum.
